DIY Paint Kits to Sell: What I Changed for Fall & Christmas
Share
DIY paint kits have quickly become one of the more interesting products I've added to my lineup.
I had already started designing the Fall and Christmas collections before releasing my Halloween kits, but the response to that first collection confirmed there was demand for more.
And as I started expanding the collection, I also started looking at the kits differently—not just as individual products, but as a product line that needs to be efficient to produce, easy for customers to use, and capable of growing with the business.
In the video below, I'm sharing:
- How I expanded the collection without starting from scratch with every design
- A small production change that's saving several minutes per kit
- What I'm doing to improve the customer experience
- An unexpected opportunity that's emerged from the kits
- Where I'm planning to take the collection after the holidays

Keep Building on What Works
A successful product doesn’t always mean starting over and creating something completely new. Sometimes the best opportunities come from paying attention to what customers are responding to, finding ways to improve what’s already working, and figuring out where that product can go next.
That’s exactly what I’m doing with these paint kits—and I’m not finished with them yet.
